What is an Eligibility Criteria for RAS 2018?

Before going directly towards the registration form or application form, candidates must read RAS Eligibility Criteria 2018
The Eligibility Criteria is the basic thing to ensure that you apply for RAS 2018 Examination or not.
Educational Qualification: - The applicants should have graduation degree from a government recognized college or university or its equivalent and the students who are in final year of the graduation can also apply.
Age Limit: - Candidates minimum age should be 21 years and maximum should be 35 years. However, the age limit for RAS examination is different for unreserved and reserved category candidates according to the Rajasthan government policies and norms.

8 HINTS FOR BETTER PREPARATION OF RAS
 

Here are some Tips and Hints on how to prepare for your exams-

Hint 1: Start Early As Possible
1. Get started preparation as soon as possible.

2. Preparation for exams should begin earlier than the day before the Exam.

3. You can’t cram an entire unit of information into an all-nighte.

4. Get started at least a week before the exam.

Hint 2: Highlight the Important Things

1. One of the best ways is to make succinct outlines.

2. Once you have decided what you need to study and how much time you need to spend studying, it is time to actually study.

3. When you have finished with all the material, you will have an outline you can review.

4. As you read over your textbook and class notes, write a brief summary for each topic. Highlight the areas in your outline that were most troublesome.

Hint 3: Read Carefully

1. Work through the exam slowly and read all the questions before answering them.

2. You have spent at least two weeks studying, so what’s another couple of minutes?

3. If you are done before the time is up, look over your answers.

Hint 4: Make Schedule for Review
1. Cover a small amount of material for each class each day.

2. Begin by making yourself a calendar outlining a daily schedule of topics for review.

3. Every time you complete a topic, give yourself a mini review.

Hint 5: Use Flashcards
1. By writing down the information from your outline, you are already doing half the studying.

2. Similar to outlining, making flashcards is a really helpful technique for studying.

I. Probability :

Classical and axiomatic definitions of probability, simple theorems on probability with examples, conditional probability, statistical independence, Bayes' theorem. Discrete and continuous random variables, probability mass function and probability density function, cumulative distribution function, joint marginal and conditional probability distributions of two variables, Expectation of functions of one and two random variables, moments, moment generating function, Binomial : Poisson Hypergeometric, Negative Binomial , Uniform, exponential, gamma, beta, normal probability distributions, Chebichev's inequality. II. Statistical Methods :

VI. Economic Geology and Applied Geology :

Processes of formation of mineral deposits. Mode of occurrence, distribution, uses and origin on important metallic and nonmetallic mineral deposits of India. Coal, petroleum and radioactive minerals deposits of India.

Elementary idea of various geophysical methods of prospecting. Elements of Ground Water Geology and Engineering Geology. Surveying instruments and their use. Elementary knowledge of mineral dressing. Application of photogeological techniques.

Lithostatigraphic divisions, tectonic and structural features of the geology of Rajasthan. A study of the geology of Rajasthan from Precambrians to Recent. Mineral wealth of Rajasthan and the mineral based industries. Knowledge of major mining regions, dams, reservoirs, engineering projects, hydroelectric projects, thermal power plants, fuel resources and ground water potential of the State of Rajasthan
